MIA PARADE - Carnival festival– Karnevaláček
The biggest carnival is a fancy-dress parade in the centre of Prague which can be described as lots of thrilled and happy kids in fancy dress with make-up and shouting for joy. More than 1000 kids took part in the first parade of this kind. All the other carnival events held in various places were visited by hundreds of eager children. At the carnival there are several teams of majorettes setting the pace of the parade who are followed by other clubs performing their compositions or showing off their floats.
MIA PARADE - 2015
Once again, the MIA Parade happening is awaiting you: a parade conceived as an appeal to all children and teenagers to spend their time doing sports, singing and taking on other meaningful activities, rather than drinking alcohol, smoking and abusing other drugs.
Route: Lucerna Palace → Wenceslas Square → 28. října Street→ Jungmannova Street → Jungmann Square → Wenceslas Square → Lucerna Palace.
The challenge for you: anyone can join the happening, so design the most creative presentation for your school, band, troupe or other formation. It can be a mascot, a banner, a witty fitting slogan apt for the parade topic, a flag, a puppet, a dance or a song. The only restriction is that you must be able to carry the object yourselves. In order to ensure a sufficient number of parade stewards, you are required to report your participation in advance using the relevant form.
