Rock and roll can be considered as a revolutionary dance which became very popular in the 50s in the 20^th century. Rock and roll has noticeably changed the views of the modern society not only on music, dance but also the views on society itself. Rock and roll developed naturally from the culture, high popularity of black music and rhythms (rhythm and blues) and electronic music of that time. Moreover, it is related to swing, jive and other dances.

The 80s brought a new form of rock and roll, acrobatic rock and roll which is more advanced choreography performed on the dance floor.

GROUPS  AND SMALL GROUP

• Choreography time limit: 2:00 – 4:00 minutes
• Entry and leaving time limit: 30 seconds / 30 seconds
• Solos: max 2x20 seconds
• Merging: in case that the category is not full, the category merges into “original dynamic”
