Style description: standard competition dances are: waltz, tango, Viennese Waltz, slowfox (slowfoxtrot) and quickstep. Waltz comes from Austria that’s why it is called Viennese Waltz. Tango as the only standard dance does not come from Europe but from Argentina. Other dances, waltz, slowfox and quickstep are from England. Standard dances: Foxtrot, Quickstep, Slowfox, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango and Flamengo.

Hobby and professional categorization: the basic terms and conditions apply. Classes E, C, D belong to hobby level, B, A, M classes to professional.

SMALL GROUPS

• Choreography time limit: 2:00 – 3:00 minutes
• Entry and leaving time limit: 30 seconds / 30 seconds
• Solos: max 2x20 seconds
• Merging: in case that the category is not full, the category merges into “original slow”

GROUPS

• Choreography time limit: 2:00 – 4:00 minutes
• Entry and leaving time limit: 30 seconds / 30 seconds
• Solos: max 2x20 seconds
• Merging: in case that the category is not full, the category merges into “original slow”

GOBLET’S CONTEST

• Warning: individuals or small teams performing own choreography with own music can compete in this category
• Choreography time limit: 1:00 – 2:00 minutes
• Entry and leaving time limit: 30 seconds / 30 seconds
• Solos: max 2x20 seconds
• Merging: in case that the category is not full, the category merges into “original slow”
